Oye Hero!

It’s a common cry across India:

Across offices, kirana dukaan, campus grounds, public transport, off balconies, across the street, in stray conversations…anybody and everybody is a hero out here.

There are, of course, others in the game:

A bike called Hero.

A pen named Hero.

The lead actor in a Bollywood masala flick.

The freshmen in college.

A dog named Hero.

Apna Hero Hiralal.

The hopeless romantic zipping past the bunch of girls.

The classroom bore.

The tea stall errand boy.
Just about anybody and everybody...

You don’t have to rescue a damsel in distress to become a hero:
